Admission Policy for Various Accademic Programmes
Students are admitted to BG 1st year in accordance with the guidelines and statements of the University of Kashmir. The admission process begins soon after the results of 10+2 are declared by the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education. The admission, however, is given on the basis of merit to the students of catchment areas only.

Admission to BG 1st year
Eligibility

  1. 45% marks in 10+2 for medical Streams in case of General Category & 40%marks in case of reserved categories.
  2. 40% marks in 10+2 for Arts Streams.

A candidate can apply for stream change at the time of admission only. Admission to the students whose result is not declared before or with in the admission period for certain reasons shall be given admission only if the intake capacity for that stream is not exhausted. Admission to the drop out cases shall be given subject to the availability of seats & on the production of an affidavit attested by 1st class judicial magistrate reflecting that the candidate has neither been on the rolls of any other institution for +3 studies nor is serving in any Govt./Semi Govt department.

Admission to  BBA, Psychology & Geology.
The candidates desirous of seeking admission to the above courses shall have to sit in the entrance examination. The eligibility for entrance examination is as
  1. 45% marks in 10+2 for General Category.
  2. 40% marks in 10+2 for Reserved categories.

The entrance examination for BBA courses is conducted by University of Kashmir & for remaining courses it is conducted by the College authorities.
