The Department of Urdu is the oldest Departments of the college. Till date thousands of students have learned Urdu language and Literature in this college. The Department provides an intellectually nourishing and conducive atmosphere to the students. Department offers a variety of courses covering major trends and movements of Urdu language and Literature. The choice based credit system allows the students to choose from a variety of elective courses that are offered in addition to core courses. Since Establishment,the Department progressed significantly. The most of defined features of the Department is that it has a committed and dedicated faculty.
